An Interview is an interaction between a prospective employer and a prospective employer with the possibility of engaging the services of the employee.
Interactions are mainly through;

*On phone * via video conferences

*To secure the jobs as the best suitable person
*To enhance your financial status
*To acquire new skills
*To gain freedom from parents
*To search for greater happiness
*To earn a living
EXPECTATIONS OF AN EMPLOYER
*Employers expect to recruit the best suitable person. This is so in order for them;
- To create a winning team
-To improve efficiency of the organization
- To increase the capacity of the organization
*Employers expect employees to be educated
*They look forward that the employees have a positive attitude
*Employees must have good communication skills
*Employees must pay key attention to details; keep a notepad to record all key info about yourself, school,industry,country and the world
INVITATION TO AN INTERVIEW
You will receive a message through email, post office or a call when you are chosen to come for an interview. When you are selected to be interviewed, the individual may do the below before and during an interview;
*Read about the company or organisation
*Note all the positives and the negatives of the company and industry
*Rehearse all your key points
*Expectation
*Smile always……………..Personality matters
DRESSING FOR AN INTERVIEW
*Be conservative in your outlook
*Ladies can choose any colour but men must keep to the conservative colours such as Dark grey,Dark blue,Black Jackets etc.
*Don’t wear tuxedoes for a job interview
POSSIBLE QUESTIONS TO BE ASKED
During an interview, questionnaires will always have interesting questions for you. Some possible questions are as follow:
*Tell me about yourself?
-Don’t talk about your parents or family background. Just tell them eg. name ,age, school, and your national service. Focus on professional issues mostly
-Don’t spend more than 2 minutes on each question
*Describe your current position?
eg. National Service Assignment
*What are your strengths and weaknesses?
eg. Public speaking may be your strength.Shy in public might be your weakness.
You may be good at organising people,this might be your strength .
Not be able to work under pressure may be your weakness
*Where do you see yourself in the next 5/10 years?
Eg. To play the managerial role in the organization
*Do you have questions for me/us?
Ask at least one intelligent question,………
Maybe you can ask………… How did the vacancy pop up?
